Hi all,
Just saw the posting of this video on Prime TV. Has anyone watched it, and is it worth viewing? I will check it out tomorrow when I have time, but I’m curious for any opinions? (Should I bother?)

Not a bad movie. Definitely an interesting subject.
Many think Viet Nam was exclusively an American war. They forget, or are unaware of, the many other counties that participated (albeit to a lesser extent).
Lets not forget the French before them who extensively practiced their surrender technique (comment in jest...:runaway::stirthepot2:).

It's a decent watch but I actually found the documentary way more entertaining, it contains the actual radio recordings from the battle and they also have interviews with the vets.

Here's my New Zealand issued Inglis in the 8T range. 500 were bought from the Canadian government in 1962 hence why it has the No.2 marking. 400 of these pistols are listed by S/N in Clive Law's ''Inglis Diamond''. You can call this a milsurp thread now. :p

There was scene in the show that showed a NVA soldier using a STG44. (Had to rewind it to be sure). Apparently, some were sent to Vietnam and were used in the field, from what I have read....

If you're interested in ANZAC stories from Vietnam, check out "The Odd Angry Shot", about Australian SAS in the war. Less focus on battlefield heroics than a lot of films, concentrates a lot on their everyday lives. Great shots of Aussie-pattern Land Rovers and weaponry. (Some more milsurp content.)

I couldn’t get over the CGI forests in the background and aerial shots. Trees were all set in perfect lines like an overgrown farm.
