Hey guys,
I've had some DD rails on order from One Shot for quite a while now, not really #####ing here, but I'm just looking for info... How come it takes so long to get these in? I realize it's the manufacturer that supplies them, (and they were out of stock there too), but wouldn't you think that they'd produce more product to sell? Or is there something else going on?

Maybe somewhere else has them in stock, Wolverine, or ATRS?

Thanks

We placed a massive order back at SHOT show and there have been multiple issues.

1) Backordered - rails like the EZ Carbine rail haven't even been run yet this year.
2) Shipping - We were using Fedex and others but a couple months ago declined to transport any firearm parts. We've finally set up new shipping arrangements.

Some of the problems include the pricing quotes on shipping. If we had a small $4000 order shipping to us, some of the companies were quoting $1000+ to deliver it. That means for us to retail it, the price would go up quite a bit.

but wouldn't you think that they'd produce more product to sell?

When I went down to Savanah (Pooler) and saw them a couple months ago they were just working on getting a new facility (40,000sq ft IIRC) up and running to double their capacity.

We are also working with a couple other distributors now in the US to source any DD and other parts they might have in stock so that we can fulfill the back orders we have.

I imagine with their (DD) RISII/SOPMODII contract, they've been delayed gearing up for greater production.

Farmboy are you guys getting the Mk 18 RIS in? If you are, is there a list I can put my name on?

Have you looked at the TROY MRF series? The 10" model rocks.
It some Pretty Serious Rail!!

Those looking for DD Rails should check out the TROY product line.
I got tired of waiting for DD and went TROY.
About 20% less and most items easy to get.

I might try out their 12" MRF CX next.

Will a modified FSB (as seen here) fit under a Daniel Defense AR15 lite rail? I'm looking at picking up a 9", 10", or 12" one for my carbine length rifle. I want to make sure it will fit (and be long enough to cover the gas block area) as I've done lots of research and decided on the DD lite rail.

Wolverine Supplies is a DD dealer. They usually have quite a bit in stock and the prices are good.

That's where my 7.0 Lite Rail came from, always wonderful doing business with Wolverine Supplies, they are my favorite gunshop in the world. Glad I am 45 minutes away!

Great prices on the DD rails there also, great service to. Wolfgang installed mine as I paid for it. Great folks to deal with!

Just ordered the Omega rail from Wolverine, minor growing pains with their new site, but Rob was really good at helping me out.... they should arrive tomorrow!
