Excuse me Sir, You do realize that they are one and the same. The FN SCAR MK 16 and the FN SCAR MK 17 are BOTH! SCARS!!!!!!!

So, in retrospect. I would surmise that they Will Not receive State Dept. approval for export. Thank You for your query.

Questar seems to get the FNAR only with heavy barrels. I haven't seen any with the standard barrel contour.

I would be very interested in the SLP shotguns if they were available. As to the SCAR (seeing as I'm waiting on on still from Questar) I would be very interested in the SCAR 17 if there was any way it could be imported.

We've certainly seen many times from multiple dealers where something that has been previously denied export is approved at a later date (despite reports "you'll never see this available again!", or "that will never fly with export"), so I would say give it a try as a request at least from FN. If it is somehow approved then I claim spot number 1 on the list please (payment awaitnig at a moments notice!!! )

x2 for DD uppers in 6.8 SPC, we're awash in .223 and 7.62x39 uppers, some different calibers will be very nice and I would certainly buy the 6.8 SPC.
