Daniel Defense Modular Rail Issue

I have my Strikefire 2 and magnifier set up. The red dot is on the barrel section and the magnifier will go on the flattop section. After noticing something was up I looked and seen the rails out of alignment by 1/16th of an inch. I haven't had time to dismantle the AR yet and won't be doing it tonight so I thought I'd plant this thread and see what happens in the meantime.

I'm not familiar with the mounting system on the MFR but that's less than impressive...

Mount your optics on your receiver instead of the forend.

Loosen the angled inset Allen bolts,

Clamp an optic mount on to align the rails,

Tighten Allen bolts.

+1 That is correct should fix the problem.

My MK18 upper looks just like that. I wasn't impressed, but I don't care really since I will not be running optics on the forend.
I expected more from a $1,200 upper TBH.

You may have an issue with the collar that the rail is mounted too. My rail was off to one side, so I removed the 4 allen bolts, and metal fillings fell out. Two bolts did not align within the collar.I contacted Wolverine and they dealt with the issue under warranty. I use Iron sights so it was imperative that my rail tube was in alignment.

The allen bolts thread into a collar inside the tube… they either seat properly or they don't.. those bolts are not intended for adjustments, don't let anyone tell you different.

Daniel Defense was going to ship me a new collar as they have had a bad batch, however when they realized I was in Canada they could not ship gun parts north.

What mount are you using for the optic? If you use a cantilever mount you should have no problem fitting both on the upper, a much better solution.

True. Realized that after mounting the 3x.
Straightened the rails regardless. Thanks again
