Daniel Defense Torture Test: One hell of a rifle

Ok...I was thinking the explosion was a bit excessive...then came the helicopter. Want to impress me? Have some chump fall from the chopper with it and land on top of it, if it still works them I'm sold. :stirthepot2:

Solid no doubts but is it accurate beyond the competition, the majority of us wont have our AR explosed... JP.

which specific model of m4 were they torture testing?
Cheers,
len

dd m4v1.

The VERY first one you see with the Surefire light on it is the Larry Vickers DD M4v1. Its essentially a stock V1 but with a LW barrel and the upgraded stock and grip. I don't think they are being made anymore though. You could make your own with a standard V1 or V1LW.

Thanks Donster! That's a nice configuration on the Larry Vickers.

the most impressive part of that video is that the Aimpoint not only continued to work, it held its zero.

when I asked LAV about this when he was up in Canada last year, he said they had to drop the ddm4 twice for the chopper due to camera issue!!!

I honestly can't see how any of those stunts could make it inoperative.

#7.5 target loads at 30 yards... Wow.... I'd estimate each pellet is carrying approximately the same energy as a .177 cal pellet fired from a non firearm status pellet rifle/pistol. I could do the math to confirm if I cared that much. The guy even exclaimed that the magazine was undamaged ffs. What's it made of, plastic or sheet aluminum? Lol

Hanging the rifle on a target 5 feet away from an explosion. Neeeeet.... I'm no explosives expert but ive made a few bangs myself. An open air, non directional explosion like that will have a lot more bark than bite. Now if the target and rifle had been blown across the field, or even fell over... Or even if the rifle swung around the target like you might see in a strong gust of wind...

Rifle falling from 100ft onto grass.. Without knowing the actual densisty of the grass/soil to be able to calculate its deceleration upon impact, I'd say it ain't too far off the deceleration g-force your rifle would experience falling off your tailgate onto concrete, maybe even less. .... Would you expect your gun to fall apart if it fell off the shooting bench? Lol

Covering with dirt with a mag inserted and dust cover closed.... Whoooooopy.
My cigarettes stay clean when I drop the pack too as long as the top is closed. I've even witnessed a pack get buried under the sand while 2 people were wresting on top of it... While being roosted by a dirt bike. When it was over my friend lit one of those crooked but clean cigarettes.

This may be the most reliable ar type rifle on earth, and be nearly indestructible but this skit proves nothing.
Well that's a lie, if it did indeed hold it's zero I would be very impressed at both the rifle and the optic, however one would expect they would have brought fourth that point as well.

Whar really would impress me is if the DD could shoot MOA, it would be more a reason to buy it... in my book that is... JP.
