Danish garand possible oddity

After doing the first disassembly for maintenance and lubrication of my SFRC won Breda M1 garand, i discovered that every single parts but the receiver are in fact brand new without any wear Winchester made parts. Is it a common find for allegedly danish surplus m1s?

The Danish Garands were well maintained in service and were repaired and overhauled with interchangeable parts from various makers. Breda, Beretta, Springfield and Winchester replacement parts were used extensively, as were Danish made stocks, barrels and rear sight elevation pinions. Any combination of parts is possible, incl rifles that were in civilian hands after being sold by the military.

Many rifles and parts were also re-parkerized which produces a like new appearance.

I find the Danish and Italian Garands were the best post war armoury rifles - so to find one seemingly NOS is not unusual I don't think.

The Danes also prior to retiring the rifles 100% refurbed what they could with existing stock. Thus, you’ll find some pretty crisp parts on them.

The Danes had lots of parts to do complete rebuilds
Allen Lever bought crates of their spare parts, DistriCorp also bought some

If it's 30'06 odds are it was built by someone and refinished. You could ask them where it came from if you really want to know.

WRA Garand parts are a lot scarcer than Springfield parts and can be tough to ID. Some, like op rods, trigger housings, bolts, hammers, safeties are WRA marked, but others not so. Stocks and gas cylinders are easy to ID, but many of the internals can only be distinguished as WRA-made by a rougher finish, slightly different profiles and a prick punch mark.

Yesterday I range tested a rifle which I built on a WRA receiver with a good sprinkling of WRA parts and a NOS USGI contract barrel made by Marlin. It is a nice shooter.
