NEW FINISHING WORK After a thorough test period, the winner of the Defense's new finishing gun, cards (FINSKGV, K) has been found. The winner was Colt Canada with their C20 DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle). The acquisition of new FINSKGV, K is happening because the Defense's current Heckler and Koch 417 S are being served. The test was carried out in collaboration with experts in the sniper environment, who tested and quality assured the prequalified rifles at all stages. The test itself was also planned and performed by the expert users themselves and took place in autumn 2019 in Borris and Ulfborg. The final selection of Colt Canada's C20 has been based on user feedback and various shooting results from these tests. Colt Canada's C20 was best in precision and got the highest score in quality by users in both shooting and handling the weapon under different conditions. 👉 The Finnish gun comes with a carrier system, magazine bags and other comprehensive accessories packages, which are aligned with the needs of each unit. FINSKGV, K C20 is expected to be handed over from Q1 2021 to the Army's snipers, light infantry sharpshooters (LINF) and Home Guard's special patrol unit. 📸 Note that the image of the new C20 DMR is not the final Danish configuration.

They used to be available in Canada, albeit manufactured by Colt USA. Mine pictured below fires consistent sub-MOA 5-round groups of 175gr SMKs out past 500 metres without breaking a sweat. And now this target rifle is banned and under house arrest for having no "sporting purpose". Could've fooled me....

Anyyhow, nothing new to see here. This updated iteration just happens to be made in Canada, is aĺl.

Looks sweet, heavy and and expensive. :)

What was the end cost with all the bells and whistles, and how heavy is it?
