Hi guys,

I am planing to build this year a DAR 22. I saw only once that they were selling the receiver 10/22 in the limited edition. Is there more of these receivers? Where do you recommend to buy parts? what trigger would be good ( i am thinking for a trigger jewell), what's the best barrel of 10/22 on market? Any info would be great.

Cheers :)

I'm working on a custom build, no idea how it will work out but I can share my plan. I've got a DAR22 receiver with integral 30 MOA rail. Bolt and single stage trigger group are Kidd, ordered from Fabsports and Jo Brooks. Barrel is a stainless Shilen 16" heavy contour from Jerry, and it will take a few months to arrive. Stock is from Wanstalls, a Tactical Solutions Vantage RS, which I really like because it has an aluminum pillar. Remaining small parts are Ruger, from Brownells. Rings are Burris Signature Zee rings, and I will use an old 3-15 nightforce for the scope.

I think if you send them your barrel and bolt they might sell you the receiver and fit your parts on for free. The DAR is manufactured with very tight tolerances and there are sometimes issues with fitting other parts...I experienced this myself and needed them to do some fitting for me before it would all go together. Having said that...I love my DAR-22.

Here's what I have going.
12"sporter barrel
limited 7075-T6 receiver No 6 of 100.
Kidd Black scalloped bolt-with some fancy anti friction coating.
Kidd charging handle and guide rod.
Timney trigger.
Dlask pins and takedown bolt.
Tuffer buffer.

This is all going in to a Maple DSP stock witch I'm working on and off on.
This so far has cost a little over a Grand, so save your pennies.

A cheaper route is buying the Darr fully assembled I think they said it was 699 for the limited one but I'm not sure.

i built 2 last year.
one shorty and one long.

shorty;
boyd stock
Dlask Black 30MOA receiver
Dlask 8" barrel
Kidd black scalloped bolt with black charging handle
Timney Trigger group
custom compensator from maddogs
kidd bolt buffer (the metal one with the rubber outside piece.

Long one;
Dlask sterling receiver
Dlask 18" barrel with compensator
Kidd scalloped stainless bolt and charging handle
Kidd 2 stage trigger
hogue stock

love both guns.
only regret is that Kidd not has a nice new receive with a bolt down read tang which looks interesting and might be nice on my long gun.
considering picking up that Kidd receiver and barrel and making my long gun 100% kidd.
