I just recieved my 9.3x57 Husqvarna with a Norma peep sight from Tradex. The rifle was in good condition-as they said it was.The bore and metal work was ''excellent''-again as they said it was.The stock had some light handling marks[again as they said]but a hot iron and a wet towel steamed out most of them. The trigger is good-not a hair trigger-but not too heavy either-just fine for hunting.I think all it will need now is some light sanding and some watco oil.I'll use some epoxy to install a couple of internal cross bolts, and that should strengthen the stock-there's a 1/2'' hairline crack at the reciever-as they told me.All in all, this looks to be exactly what I was looking for a good functional hunting rifle that with a couple of hours work on the stock will result in a nice looking rifle-all for $275.That's darn good value for the buck. Now all I have to do is see how it shoots.

Sounds like a great deal. Let us know how it works out on load development. The peep would be a good way to keep it simple and bomb proof.

Good luck.

I bought one from them last year-same rifle, except it was drilled and tapped for a scope, which I installed-a nice 2-7 x leopold. This time I wanted a peep sight for typical under 100 yard shooting which the 9.3x57 should be eminently successful at, with its large diameter,286 gr heavy bullets.I am looking for ''smack down'' factor on moose/bear rather than long range across the valley stuff, and I'm thinking the Norma wide aperature peep sight should be ideal for such short range stuff-where a long shot will be 50 yards

I just ordered an M98 in 9.3x62 off them. Pretty excited, though with mailing times and their vacation, I oughta calm down, cause it might be awhile. Congrats, though, sounds awesome.

I'm debating switching out the stock for an unfinished walnut one from Brownell's. Thinking that the higher comb will work better with a scope than the factory stock does.

well, there's one thing to be said about a peep sight-they don't fog up on you when you're way out in the bush....and at the short ranges I'm hunting at[drifting a river for moose]a scope really isn;t a neccesity-and possably even a hinderance[my hunting partner shot one at 30' this year]I'd have taken a 9.3x62-if they had one,the selection of 9.3x57 is more available. As for service-I can't say enough about Tradex-they answer any questions, they describe the rifle accurately-no surprises, and they ship promptly
