So took a vehicle in for some work to Saskatoon, a 5 hour drive. Had some time to pass so went into Cabela's. I had recently bought a S&W MP 15-22 so I thought I would get some extra mags.

Found some on the shelf. Package said S&W MP 15-22 10 round. Grabbed a few.

Was even talking to the counter guys and asked if they were the right ones....as I just got the rifle and shot it only twice... and the stock magazine was the short one and these were the longer 10 rnd ones and couldn't remember what they looked exactly like.

Their response was if it says S&W Mp 15-22 then that is what it is.

These guys were friendly, helpful and accommodating....but I wish I had pushed it...because...Get them home......NOPE....not the right ones. After some internet searching find out they are actually GSG 15-22 mags.

Glad I kept the receipts and will be back to the city in a few weeks. I am positive it should not be a problem to return them. Weird they were mislabeled.

Lesson learned to make sure next time. Kind of a downer because was looking forward to not have to reload after every 10 rounds with 1 magazine.

It would not be the first. A litany of mislabelled items in their Bargain Cave. My favourite was a set of rings missing the screws for $54. Checked the actual fully packaged rings screws in tact for $50 on sale. When you want a brick of match rimfire you have to go through all the stock to get all from one lot. Why they open the bricks then mix the whole "####erree" up and them have their staff look at me like I have two heads when I want all from the same lot.
