Data for 154gr Hornady Interlock, IMR 4831, 7mm Rem Mag

My hornady manual shows a 56.8 starting load to 65.4 max load for imr 4831.
Cheers

This is about bang on. I have a 700 Remington in 7mm Rem Mag [1980's version]and my pet load with that
combination is 66.0 grains of IMR 4831 behind the 154 Hornady. I don't hunt with the Hornady offering, but
it sure shoots well in my 700, so I use it to keep my shooting skills honed. Trajectory is quite similar to the
160 Partition in my rifle [66.5 grains of Norma MRP] Enjoy! Dave.

Maybe I am cross-eyed? 7mm Remington Magnum Hornady 9th Edition Page 355 154 grain bullets IMR 4831 powder Start at 54.8 Max at 59.1, for 2800 fps. 12 other powders listed with higher velocity at max loads.

Let me tell you [and Hornady] right now......59 grains of IMR4831 is one "soft" load in any 7mm Rem Mag I have ever worked with. If I can achieve 3060 fps with a 160
Partition in my 7 RM, why would I settle for 2800 with a lighter bullet? In my experience, it is easy to get over 3000 at safe pressures with that 154 H and IMR4831. Dave.
