Date this shotgun shell

Since I also do metal detecting as a hobby I found this old shotgun shell..well the brass only. It looks old and I detected some paper in the brass. I'm guessing 50's and or 60's but could be older. Anyone want to chime in?

How many more you want I have boxs of them sitting here. Will check and see if there is a date code on the box or case. They are all empty.
