Have seen unbridled flinters with dog catches, appear made about the end of the English Civil War, made by 2 different makers. "CONWAY" appears to engrave his name on the lockplate, "WOODCOCK" stamps his in the form of an "S" lying down.
These are very old guns, no internal bridle at all, vertical sear, flat cocks, flat lockplates. Locks appear identical apart from maker.
I'm interested in any information regarding these two gunmakers, who would have been English, likely London from the period, especially dating these critters.
