Dating a Browning

I have what I beleive is a browning trombone (From the pics on the net) it is a pump action .22LR no real easy to read markings on it, I know browning has a section to date their stuff but this was no listed there, is there anyway to find out when this was made? It was my Father in Laws Grandpas so this thing could be have some decent age on it, Thanks for your help.
 
I dont think it has that dating code on it The only thing that looks like a serial number is by the trigger guard it was about 6 numbers long will double check it tonight could mean before 1958 which i think it most likely is
