k guys, i've tried flowers, chocolates, and long walks on the beach but she still wont give up the info. the story is last week i bought a mint remington 700 from a guy at work and i couldn't be happier with the purchase...now i'm hoping you guys can help me with a little info on 'er. i'm pretty sure its a adl because it has a top loaded internal box magazine and no hinged plate. the barrel stamp is B M meaning january either 1965 or 1992 (this is the part i'm not sure of). has what appears to be a factory remington recoil pad, and iron sights. the receiver is drilled and tapped but i'm not sure if it came from the factory like that, or if a smith did it. another interesting thing is the barrel and receiver has a blued finish but the barrel is clearly stamped stainless steel. the serial number is 134###, but it doesn't seem to help determining the age of the gun. i wasn't looking for another rifle, but because of the price, and the fact its in such great shape LNIB i couldn't pass it up as a back up rifle or just a fun gun. also its chambered in 7mm rem mag and since i don't have one in that calibre it gives me an excuse to go out and buy more re-loading gear. thanks guys
