Since my eldest has to give up her beloved 3030 to her younger sister this
year I decided to get her a new rifle. She agreed to move up in calibre on
the condition that she got to custom paint the stock. What else could I do
but agree? THEN she told me her colour scheme - green (okay) and PINK
(what?!) I gritted my teeth and went along with it! Whatever it takes to get
her out with me!:)
The kid proved that she listens to me because she was VERY quick to remind me that deer are colour blind!

She did all of the work starting with the prep.
The masks came from our back yard, with the exception of a really Wetcoast
touch - on the right rear of the stock she used a barnacled rock with seaweed coming off the top!

One wonders what the oldtimers will think when this comes out of the case
at the range for its sighting in!

Thanks to all CGN members who helped with this project by replying to my
questions!

By the way, I bought a new stock for her younger brother to paint when it is
his turn...

Right on. Thats a great way to get kids involved. It gives them a sense of ownership and responsibility as well. She'll want to really take care of that rifle. My boy is a bit young for a real gun but I mounted a full size scope on his daisy bb gun. You should see him practicing in the back yard. :D I think I've created a gun nut.
:sniper:

Pink!

Might as well put more pink on it! :runaway:

There I've said it!:eek::slap:

What's the new caliber anyway?!

It's so cool to see fathers letting their kids participate!!

Great job!
