Davide Pedersoli 12 ga SxS Shotgun '' La Bohémienne''

I am considering a Davide Pedersoli 12 ga SxS Shotgun '' La Bohémienne'' and I am having a hard time finding anything on reviews or comparable info on this shotgun.

I was hoping that someone out there may have some positive and negative reviews or observations / thoughts / rumors on this shotgun.

Esthetically it is very pleasing (although an English stock may be in order). My intended use of the gun is to use for waterfowling, upland and gentlemen type events. I have other sxs and o/u Shotguns in the same and other gauges of better and lesser "quality" but the idea of a new hammergun keeps my blood pumping.

Here is the link to the website for reference.

I have sen te Pedersoli however, and it is a well made gun .

Cat, Was there a reason you went with the CZ Hammer Classic? Did you consider the Pedersoli at the time? I understand there is a little price difference but I am trying to get a firm handle on the new avail Hammerguns to me in Canada.

I have one and have shoot all types of birds with it. My only problem is the hammers don't come back far enough and when sighting your periferral vision at the rear is blocked by the hammers. I don't like that very much when having to pic up the second bird and swing on it. It is a light gun but I have shot geese using a 100 gr load of FFG and 1 1/8 load. You will quickly learn that your hunting partners don't have enough patience when you are reloading unless they are shooting something similar. Good luck, it is fun to shoot.

Well, I had a chance to buy one at a decent price, and wanted to try thee CZ, that's all!:p
that being said, if Will Bilozir had one in at the time I was going to get a modern hammer gun for the swamps, i likely would have bought the Pedersoli from him.

Tamid, are you shooting a cartridge gun or one of Pedersoli's muzzle loaders?
The gun we are talking about is a cartridge gun.

The Pedersoli La Bohemienne has some of its major parts made by Hugalu and some parts made by Pedersoli. The gun is stocked, parts fitted and finished by Pedersoli.I did a search on some European sites on their CAS Earp model which I believe is a plainer version with shorter barrels and came up with that info.

That is not surprising in one way, yet it is in another!
Are the action parts themselves made by Pedersoli, do you know?
it's interesting, because they make a lot of side lock style guns, and i am wondering just how much is contracted.
It is no secret that many of the Italian parts on several different brands of guns interchange, but I am a bit surprised that they would outsource to Turkey, simply because of their economic situation.

What they said on that site that the larger parts were made by the turks and the more delicate by Pedersoli. Now this was translated into English so its not a word for word translation.I m thinking action, locks and barrels. They reason I say locks as well is that they don t sell spares of them like all the other locks hey sell.

Thanks for all the info. I am a little on the fence about this one. I am wondering about the Black matte barrels on it vs glossy (esthetically).
