Day 1 Hunt report

Well I went out for a day hunting with my dad yesterday and found the stupidist whitetail buck ever.

it was standing 20yds off the side of a logging trail, back end to me and looking right at me, only offering a head shot The little spike buck just stood there so I got out of the truck and walked up the road a little way to get away from the truck, and it still stood there just looking at me :shock: 20yds freehand headshot with a 7mm RemMag easy :lol: Deer on the meat pole.

Had the 10 yr old nephew along too so he got a quick course in gutting deer. His job was to hold the legs, Dad supervised and had a coffee.

Day 1 hunting was sucessfull

My day 1 deer report is Bittermansbro 0 - Deer 1. Didn't even see any unfortunately.

Good news is Bittermansbro 2 - Grouse 0. Those guys have always been stupid, and thankfully, a rock will take care of them. And like dumbdawg so eloquently pointed out, stupid grouse still tastes great on the campfire.

I'll have to take a picture of the head this weekend when I cut it up, (its cooling in the fridge now, too warm to hang normaly)
