Hey guys,

I finally found a nice DCRA No 4 rifle, and it comes with a sterling mag and Parker Hale sight. Talk about good luck! It's a real nice rifle in great shape, and I'm just waiting for delivery. Will keep you posted, and yes, it's a Long Branch 42.

Is it common for these rifles to have a black phosphate finish as opposed to blued?

The Sterling mag is unnecessary. In Canada the conversions were simply the barrel and extractor, with everything that was removed reattached for return to the customer.

The course of fire for DCRA and Bisley style shooting has always been single loaded shots fired in rotation with another shooter. You fire, the target goes down, rifle off the shoulder and prepare for the indication, he calls the score and marks your match ticket, watch the wind, other shooter fires, repeat.
