Anyone have a Daniel Defence M4 V11?

Been looking hard at AR's the last few nights and ive read really good reviews about this gun. I was originally set on a Colt SA15.7 but now I'm leaning towards the DD.

Whats your experience with these rifles?

Im up to 3 of their rifles. They are amazing it fit and function.

Quality is top notch. If you want some insight in their manufacturing see my thread from when i went to Black Creek this summer (their main manufacturing facility.)

Can't go wrong with the Daniel Defense unfortunately with the Canadian dollar taking such a huge dive, the price difference between the new 2016 DD rifles and the Colt Canada rifle might be well over a grand.

The 18" S2W barrel is heavy, I can attest to that, but it is a quality barrel and I'm sure the lw version will be too. what do you intend to do with the rifle? if its just general use/ casual shooting, then whatever one you think looks ###ier would be the better option (keep in mind you get a keymod rail on one of them). If you will be doing a lot of classes, then maybe the DD lw gun will be better just for the weight... it all depends on you.

probably not much help, but I purhcased my barrel from Wolverine. I would buy from them again, good experience. They do stock a fair number of DD rifles. As for the CC rifle, I couldn't tell you where a good place to buy would be.

Cheers

Wolverine is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Daniel Defense products, they place an order for the year at Shot Show and it usually takes a few of weeks before the product start show up.

I just bought the last DD M4 V11 SLW from Wolverine two weeks ago and very impressed with this AR. I have used many weapons in the Army and this is by far the smoothest and lightest of them. I have put about 250 rounds through it this week with not one problem. The quality of the barrel is second to none and the bolt action feels smooth. I looked into Colt (which is what I used in the Army) M & P 15 Tactical and Sig M400, but very happy with the decision. Wolverine supplies were great and very knowledgeable. I was lucky because as you know prices will increase with the next shipment.

Also keep in mind, if your going to invest in something light weight don't waste money on other add ons that will weigh it down. Find a good light weight scope like the T2 and let her rip on the range!

I put the 15" DD slim keymod rail on my DD m4v5. It's the same rail as the m4v11. So I guess my v5 is basically a v11 now. It's by far my favorite rifle in my collection. I find it to be very light. I do have a magpul ubr installed. This moved the weight rearward and to me the balance feels perfect. The front end feels light as a feather now. I just added a lantac dragon muzzle brake. Had it to the range the other day and the dragon works amazing!!! Zero muzzle movement.
