DDm4a1 upper pin and welded?

Is the DDm4a1 upper (the one with Ris2 handguard) pin and welded? Or do our Canadian versions come without pin and weld? Wolverines website indicates pin and weld however I feel like that may just be a copy and paste from the DD website......

Because they're ordered from the US, they come pinned and welded. Easy enough to break that weld, but don't expect to reuse the flashhider.
