I need to find a new set of front wood (walnut if possible) for a Lee-Enfield No4 Mk1 as well as all the associated metal parts...

What is the best place to find these items? The wood is the hardest to find up to now... Would a front end for a No4 Mk2 fit a Mk1??? Are magazine interchangeable between Mk1 and Mk2 ?

Thanks!

I think the No 4 Mk 2 has a different cut to the trigger area at the back of the fore end so I don't think it will fit a regular No 4 Mk I. Same goes for the trigger and magazine skirt. Other than that, I think most parts should interchange.

Just recently undertook the de-bubba myself got 2different stocks from numrich however the shipping is very expensive...marstar has some right now as well

The Mk 2 has the trigger pinned to a block on the front side of the butt socket, instead of on the trigger guard. The stock has the rear web removed and a new small diameter screw installed. A No.4Mk1 will fit into a No.4Mk2 stock, but not vice versa. The block will get in the way of a Mk1 stock. As far as the remaining parts, only the trigger parts are different.

Marstar has a couple of containers of Lee Enfield parts they bought in Greece. They are selling wood and other parts you'll need for your project.
