De-parkerizing

I have the Jericho 941 and I am absolutely sick of the Parkerized coating on it as it scratches so easily. Has anyone deparkerized and possibly blued or recoated their pistol in the past? I've Heard of Cera-cote but I'm not sure it would stand up where the slide runs along the rails. Any ideas for what I can do at home? Or for a reasonable price?

cera-cote will certainly be more durable then bluing. To blue, there is going to be a great deal of polishing to be done to remove the finish created by the parkerizing process, and it will be just as if not more scratchable then the parkerizing was.
