Here is the Value part answer to your question. On the EE just a few months ago, there was an MP44 (12.2) with 5 mags from an estate sale. Total cost was $750 shipped. Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars. Only condition was that it would not be deactivated and that another 12.2 collector buy it.

I saw that $750 ad too, someone got a fantastic deal. I seem to remember it was Ganderite, but I am not certain. I believe another CGN member sold 2 MP44's from his collection recently (one 12.x and one DEWAT), he would be a good person to ask. I will try to track down who that was.........I think it was koldt, try sending him a pm.

Value? Anyone can set any price he wants. Is it worth it to you?
I would rather have a functional BD reproduction that a welded paperweight. And one would cost less.

I sold a dewat (with a moving action) and a 12(3) MP44 for $4,000 each---- quite recently.

dewat---#### and click.
Steyr assembled.

12(3) converted auto.
Erma assembled.

my thoughts are dewat or not its what someone is willing to pay, another thing to keep in mind is many put a price on something with the idea I will ask over the value, if someone wants it bad enough I will make money.

down south prices are crazy, one reason is they can shoot them another is given a limited amount of registered machine guns versus the population there is just not enough to meet demand and I believe they can not import or produce any more

so the 5000$ asking price from collector source is not the real value ?

When that 5K MP44 in particular has been for sale for a few years on the website at that price, and no takers, it tells you something --- the price is probably too high and it's not the only one in the world --- it pays to shop around.

Big Annies Surplus or McMurchie's in Edmonton had racks of dewat MP44's for $700 each. #### and Click. But that was in 1998. We won't see that anymore.
