Deactivated Skorpion Price Check

Marstar is still offering a skorpion dewat for $215 if you buy an sks, svt or Mosin at regular price. Yours is likely one of their dewat given how it looks in your ee ad and the style of deactivation.

On its own Marstar has them listed at $429. But why would anyone buy one on its own when you could get a functioning rifle and the dewat for the same price in the package deal.

So $215.

Actually mine is not a Marstar one, was deactivated this year by a Manitoba dealer.

Still. You can get a dewat skorpion for 215 when buying it with a functioning gun. Makes the market value 215 bucks. And it is the same type of deactivation.

I doubt that your Manitoba dealer did it himself. The only dewat skorpion in canada are Marstar deals. The previous full autos were forced surrenders for destruction from what I've read. Marstar are the only source currently.

Sell it to some Yahoo and tell them it was like the one used in the movie Executive Decision. They don't even need a PAL for a dewat.

I am doubtful this is a Marstar one, when I purchased this, the Marstar ones were already available on their site, I was told this is not that batch. From previous positive experiences, this fellow is not a BSer.

that does not look like a marstar deact at all. does the selector or trigger move?

Both selector and trigger move, mag is removable. It also came with dealers dewat letter.

if it doesn't sell for what you want, i would recommend waiting a while for marstars deal to dry up. there only in the $215 price range right now because of the current deal. after that you know they wont be going down in price.

You make a good point, Marstar will eventually run out. Nonetheless $215 does not include shipping and tax, but it does include the headaches of buying another rifle that some might already have one or even a crate(Mosins, SVTs and SKSs are VERY common firearms), so technically under these conditions the true market value of a dewat Skorpion is likely higher than $215. One would also have to tie up another $200-300 (minimum), on top of the $215 to own a Skorpion, a bill of over $500 on ones credit card.

The hassle of buying a functioning rifle makes the non functional rifle worth more?

The market value right now is 215. If you want o compensate for tax and shipping and "functional rifle hassle" the price could be inflated to 250.

400+ is not the market value, otherwise the skorpion alone for that price would be sold out already. Including yours.

I don't think you quite understand my point, Marstar will never sell you a rifle for $215, so if you want a Dewat from them you are paying roughly $500 to have one shipped to your door, with a Mosin. The hassle in this situation is that one already has one, 2 or even more Mosins and now must sell one that came from Marstar, for less than he payed for, because those Mosins from Marstar would cost close to $250 after shipping and tax. You will never be able to recoup that cost by selling it in the EE. So you just lost $50 or so, you have an extra $250 on your credit card that has to be payed back too. Person can also hang on to the Mosin, and have even more, but the damage on the Credit Card is still $500.

Your fixation on $215 is apparent, I don't think you will understand the equation I provided in my previous post, but I'll say this: on Saturday I posted this thread to get some info/insight into what a dewat Skorpion could go for, I got answers ranging from $450, to $300(in Germany), to $215. So thanks to the help of these people I have adjusted my asking price, by dropping $100 and later even including shipping(you can see that my EE add was modified, twice).
