Dead Ringer sights

I had one on my duck gun last year, I found it to be ok, I just couldn't get used to it,lol, but my buddy loved it, I guess it's a personal preference, but they are pretty cheap, so it doesn't hurt to try it, you just might like it. I found I liked it on birds that were coming straight in, but I had a hard time with crossing birds, and where I hunt we get a lot of birds crossing

Had them on my Turkey shotgun before I swapped them for a red dot.

The Turkey version had the round rear instead of that (what?) oval on the duck model.

If you diddle with them to get everything lined up (there is shims that you can install under the rear base to tweak things) they are way better than just a "bead". They are also supposed to give you some (very rough) ranging ability. If the turkey's head/neck "just fit" in the circle that is supposed to indicate 30-35 yards. I think the duck one gives the same range if the wing tips touch each side of the oval - so at best a "shoot, no shoot" indicator.

But still found as my short and long vision continued to part ways that I couldn't see worth a crap with them when really trying to "aim" for Turks. But like any fiber sights they really "light up" with minimal light. I did move them to my 20 gauge pump that I use for upland birds - still like the front fiber but because it's elevated I had to add the rear sight as well (they are meant to work together).
