Its time to break out the emergency whiskey this morning and have a good stiff drink, there is a refurb Nagant Revolver on the EE for $800 bucks f:P:2:

Nagant revolver, not the mosin nagant rifle.

These are cheap pistols in the states, used to be able to get them for $100, i think it's around $200 now?

Either way, it's going for the low supply price, since these things are not worth nearly this much or are worth it from someone I know in the states who regrets buying one for $150.

There's a demand for Mosin's?
Who knew.
Their only appeal was cheapness.

Last night I saw an ad for 2 sks rifles @ $199 each. It was right next to the thread about Lever Arms sale on sks rifles @ $159 each . WTF?

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't buy anything from Lever. Plus, those 199 SKS's were 199 shipped. So take the $159 from lever, add tax and shipping and your prob at the same price, except you get free cosmoline from lever.

Ouch... I was hoping to own one of these myself, but evidently my only real chance is for a fresh import. I have one of the Webley .38's that Trigger Wholesale imported on its way, and I consider that to be the top price I'd pay for an odd ball surplus pistol. They're more a curiosity than anything else for me at the moment

My bad.
I read Nagant and stopped there I guess.

Well, I have a bog-stock SKS which I MIGHT be persuaded to part with. It will be at a premium, of course, but that's to be expected; after all, it is from my PERSONAL collection (not from YOUR personal collection, mind you, or Uncle Bob's, either of which which would cost you less). Let's look at some of its finer points:

Developed by the secret Simonov Team at the fabled Tulskiy Oruzheiniy Zavod established by Peter the Great (250 years after Peter died, mind you).

Directly descended from the SKS-45 which was used in COMBAT in Berlin in the final stages of World War Two. (Well, yes, the prototypes were. It is also descended from the totally UNIQUE Tannenburgerbuchse as well as from the legendary BAKER Rifle which defeated NAPOLEON!)

Uses the popular 7.62x39 cartridge, the FIRST modern intermediate cartridge (which most people have heard of).

Functional (I should hope so!) gas-operated action for pure RELIABILITY (just like all the others, but you still can't hit the broadside of barn with it).

In immaculate ORIGINAL condition (exactly as removed from storage following refurb).

NEVER been dicked with (because I don't know how to take it apart to clean it).

Still contains ORIGINAL Soviet-era Cosmoline substitute coating most parts (the rest sprayed out when I shot it).

Comes with ORIGINAL SOVIET FACTORY TOOL KIT (just like the other 14 million).

Tested only 10 rounds (and never cleaned because I'm too lazy).

Short and Handy Carbine length with ORIGINAL BAYONET (just like all the others).

The FINAL PERFECTED FORM OF THIS HISTORIC RIFLE (Okay, the tooling was worn out and the Inspectors were drunk; it's still pretty).

A SACRIFICE (of your wallet) at just $1399 plus shipping to YOUR address (don't want it going anywhere else, do you?)

NO TAXES!!!! (Because I am not licensed to collect them by the Provinces or by the Feds, although I would if I could)

So what do you think of that? Doesn't that just make you LUST to obtain this UNIQUE SPECIMEN (different serial number from the other 44 in the basement)???

WRITING ads is an art-form.

READING ads is another art-form, one which you acquire in self-defence.

Show us on the doll where the bad man on the EE touched you.

The EE is a place where both exceptional deals can be had, but also some severely overpriced stuff. Just have to wade through it all I guess, like Smellie said. Guess I should have bought that Nagant revolver on the EE 4 months ago that was listed at 220.

I found this one particularly amusing since last year, I acquired a Smith and Wesson 629-4 with 200 rounds of lead target ammo AND a Colt Trooper .357 for the combined total of 900 bucks ( 2 separate deals). I feel like I got a lot more revolver for the additional 100 bucks.
