Suprisingly the dgx blow open and made a significant hole in the bear. Good for black bear but I would'nt trust them for dangerous stuff. Double rifle are the ultimate thrill for spring bear In my opinion. Way more fun than arrow. And man, they kill fast.
The gun is a merkel db 141 with aimpoint h2 sigth.

I wouldn’t think the dgx would open on such a small animal. Wish I could mount something like that on my ruger but it takes Ruger style rings only.

Doubles are fun, almost as much as singles, which are almost as much fun as bows, which are almost as much fun as spears...

My goto hunting rifle is my 444 marlin, love it.
Hunt everything with it.
Took a nice whitetail at 330 yards, hit it like a hammer. I hunt in heavy griz country so it's my gun of choice.
265 grains at 2300 fps deals some bad medicine
