The BC Government did a similar thing years ago on Vancouver Island for a wolf cull.
They had shooters in a heelo with shotguns shooting buckshot at wolves and then finished them off with a center fire rifle.
Man, it would be fun for sure .

Fun - yes, Effective as a means of culling - sure, but humane ? not really. The guy was a phenomenal shot - given that he was in a moving aircraft - but alot of those were less than stellar placements, and .223 is on the low end of the spectrum for calibres you'd use on beasts of that size.
The last pig clearly illustrates this as it continues to run with half its guts hanging out. Alot of those animals likely had a less than quick death.

The base cost is $1650 per person with a 2 person minimum to book. That gets you a night's stay at our lodge, 3 meals, all you can drink beverages and a 2 hour flight. Each additional hour is $750/hr. To add on the night vision hunt is $400 per gunner. For the NV hunt you are in a surburban equipped with law enforcement grade FLIR thermal technology in a 360 degree scanner. You ride the properties looking for heat signatures. Once you find the hogs you position yourselves with the wind and hope out with your AR's equipped with Gen III+ night vision scopes and stalk to within 50 yards of the hogs in pitch black!!! We can accommodate large parties and corporate get aways. We run 2 helicopters so 2 shooters can be in the air at a time.
There is no limit to how many hogs you can kill. Our record in the last 2 and a half years of shooting this area is 223 hogs in 2 hours. The average thus far is 10-20 hogs depending on the shooter's abilities.Shooters provide their own ammo, and we recommend bringing AT LEAST 250 rounds per shooter. I am in, don't think I will hit anything, but what a blast.

im all for humane for game animals but pest watch out theres some vids out there with 100-200 hogs in one group running a MG is needed 
of corse a 12ga loaded with 0000 buck does a good job (one of my new loads is 8 pellets of 0000 buck .375" 77grains each out of water droped WW's if you want even more hardness go with lino and water drop )

Camera guy figured if he did a crappy job filming he might get to be the shooter next time. Haha. Sounds like a pretty solid game plan. Thats some pretty impressive shooting considering most of the time hes using iron sights. Im hoping to partake in a hunt like this before I kick the bucket. Or next year. Hopefully next year comes sooner. Thanks for the video!
