i was wondering about what other people were using to deburr their cases after trimming. right now i use a wilson deburring tool. what else is out there?

FOr rifle cases, I use a plain ol' RCBS deburring tool and a Lyman "steep angle" or whatever they call them tool withthe wooden handle.

I take a pile of trimmed cases, sit in front of the TV, and do all the insides with the Lyman, then all the outsides with the RCBS.

The Lyman tool, with it's steeper angle, makes a more gradual chamfering angle, which helps eliminate any "shaving" of copper when seating, especially when you are usign X bullets.

Ther eare also powered trimmers/chamfering tools available if you are doing alot of cases at once.

I am using the RCBS 3 way cutter I bough from a fellow forum member here a while back and it is the cats ass! I love the damn thing,. It cuts my case trimming time by about 75% and is worth every penny RCBS charges for the unit.

Does it trim, outside and inside chamfer at the same time? Dop you need seperate pilots, or do you just use the regular ones?

Invented and patented by a competitive rifle shooter, this unique rifle case trimmer, powered by an industrial quality 1500 rpm motor, combines three reloading operations into one. It simultaneously trims cases to the proper set length with a 90 angle to the axis of the case, puts a chamfer on the inside of the neck, and removes the burr from around the outside surface of the cartridge neck. You can easily average 12 cases a minute with this power tool. It is simple to operate. Simply grasp the cartridge case between thumb and forefinger and insert the case into the case holder pushing it against the dual cutters and rotating the case 180. Call for other Calibers.

It trims to length and chamfers both the inside and outside at the same time. Both the inner and outer cuts are adjustible as to depth. It uses a special calibre specific pilot but they are only 10 - 12 bucks each. It takes a few min. to get set up at first but once set you are good to go. As I load for 6 or 7 different .30 calibre rifles mine is prety well left set up at all times for that diameter. Once set up the attachment can be removed and re-installed on the RCBS case trimmer in seconds without changing the settings.

It's too bad the fun of actual reloading is quick compared to case prep. I spend more time prepping cases than stuffing them with powder and bullets, but what the heck, it's alll a part of reloading.
