Well I see I can buy mags that range from 16 bucks from Marstar to a zillion bucks with laser etched flaming skulls. :) Seeing as I am now one of the "retired" or just plain tired my wife says, I'd like to know what is a decent plain old mag that will work without spending needless money. I don't need nothin' flashy, it's for my Norinco, not a jazzed up Ed Brown ray gun for IPSC etc. :) Also, what are some decent plain bumpers? Thanks folks.

I got some decent 1911 mags from Dlask. Good price when on sale. Bumpers, I ordered directly from Pachmayr .

I'll admit that I prefer to run the best mags money can buy in my 1911s (Wilsons, Tripp Cobra) but I have had good experiences with Chip McCormick and Mec-Gars as well. The latter provides OEM mags for several gun makers. I gave up taking a chance on unmarked or no name mags. In most cases they proved to be more trouble than they were worth and a complete waste of money. The old adage, "Buy cheap, buy twice" definitely applies to magazines.

I've had perfect reliability with Norinco magazines in Norinco 1911s. They're often pretty cheap. But they haven't seen as many rounds as my CMC mags...

Dlask mags and ATC mags (and if im not mistaken ATC makes DLASK mags for them)
are a nice cheap price and they run flawless.
ive been running them both for about 5 years now and have yet to have a issue with them in any of my 1911's (Norc, SAM, Ruger, Kimber)

trying to see if i had any pics of them uploaded....

here are some pics of mine, they are in the top right.
this was from the day i was coloring in the inlays with white nailpolish.

here is a pic of them before and after coloring in the inlays

and since your looking for them to run in your Norc here are 2 pics with them with one of my Norcs

so you can see they have a nice bumper on them and even with a fairly aggressive mag-well on the gun they stick out nice like.

I have the ACT and Dlask mags as well. As far as I can tell, they are identical and work great in my Norincos. I have the Ed Brown maxiwell, and the base pad that the mags come with stick out far enough to not be a problem. I think I paid something like $20 or $22 a piece for them from one of the sponsors up top.

Never said I couldn't afford mags, I said without spending needless money. I'm not a glitz and glamour gotta have the latest #### kinda guy. I'm into functional workhorse stuff like my mechanics tools and other rifles and handguns I own. If you wanna spend tons of money for the latest way cool stuff go ahead. As for ammo, I have about 800 rounds right now, and at the rate I'm reloading on my turret press, I'll about twice that amount by the end of the summer. Thanks for your concern though.
