Hello,

I'm debating to get between Remington 700 SPS(.308), Norinco M14, and Ruger Mini30. I've hold all those three rifles but I still can decide(I kind of liked Mini30).
And I heared too many bad things about Norinco M14 but M700 SPS and Mini30 seems good.

Also if you know anyother decent practice shooting rifle other than those three under $1000, please recommand me.

Thanks for your time.

At $399, the Norinco M305 is an excellent rifle, and with some careful tuning (via one of Hungry's clinics) it can be startlingly accurate with the right ammo.

But for year round practice, a Savage Mark II BVS is pretty hard to beat.

I guess I'll start with Noc M305 first and do some tunings, that way I'll get to know the rifle better.

Is that Savage M2 BVS bolt action? or semi?

And thanks for your advise.

The Savage is a bolt action .22. I think it will be a better gun in the long run over the Norinco. Another cheaper option would be the Savage Edge, you can get a package deal for about $400 new in various calibers.

Thanks for your advise but I'm only looking for a rifle in .223 and .308. I'm looking for the target shooting and also maybe hunting in the future.
I really want AR15 varient rifle but they are all restricted so I'll have to apply for long term ATT(where exactly can i find about it?).
I guess I'm getting Noc M14.

Thanks guys!

You can't hunt with an AR15 or any other restricted firearm. Right now im looking at a Kel tec Su16f, shoots .223 cost $799 and you can get the pistol grip lower for an AR style non-restricted rifle. As an added bonus it takes AR mags so you can legally shoot the 10 round pistol mags.
