I have a Yugo Mauser and a No.4 Mk.1 that are both quite short for me and I would like to add a slip on recoil pad to each for a longer LOP and to let me hit the range for an afternoon without coming home with a sore shoulder from the metal buttplates.

Problem is, all I have seen for slip on pads are the crappy rubber ones. Does anybody make a decent one that laces one like a shell carrier or cheek pad? Leather or a fabric for the sleeve would be much preferred if possible.

Thanks,
Mark

I just use the rubber ones from Crappy Tire... the trick is not to leave them on the stock when you're done... apparently discolours the wood... I'm not sure if the same would happen with a leather one...

I have never seen a good looking slip on butt pad. There are a few leather $$$ ones, but I am not sure if they have much thickness too them.

x2.

I use the same cheapo pad when I'm shootin a lot of 3" shells.

Works great just pull it off after. It leeches badly over time.

I just bought a Butler Creek slip-on recoil pad for my VZ 24.
I was tough getting it on but it's on there now.

I hope to shoot the VZ 24 this weekend.
