This is an invitation to anyone in the Niagara, Ontario area to shoot in the Decew Gun Club PPC league.
The league starts on Sunday, May 5 at 10 am and runs every Sunday morning until the end of September.
It is open to anyone who has a holster qualification (IPSC, PPC, Cowboy Action , IDPA, etc.). If you are holster qualified through work (police, security e.g. Brinks, etc.) that is acceptable as well.
The cost is $2.50 per match. There is a barbeque and prize money at the end of the season.
If you have not shot PPC before we will provide the instruction to get you started. All you need are the following:
1. a handgun (revolver or semi-auto). Most people use centrefire calibres but rimfire pistols are OK as well.
2. Non-magnifying optics are allowed
3. a belt and holster to fit your handgun
3. A minimum of 3 magazines for semi-autos or 3 speedloaders for revolvers
4. Eye and ear protection
You can shoot the Service Pistol course which requires 48 rounds per match or the PPC course which requires 60 rounds per match. You pick the one you want to shoot. Most beginners start with the Service match as it requires shooting from fewer positions but it's your choice.
This is strictly a fun league for a little friendly competition so if you are a novice don't worry about your scores. The more you practice the better you will get.
If you're not sure it's for you come on out and watch as a spectator.
