Decoys

More than required sometimes... not nearly enough other times... depends a lot on the location, time of day, migration timing etc...

If you are hunting small ponds / sloughs 15 is more than enough. Break them up into 3 or 4 groups and leave a good sized pocket of water between them to allow the ducks to land.

If you know how to call use one. If you don't know how to use a call leave it in the truck. ;) LoL

What's a good number for a spread of decoys. I put out 15. Is that too many or not enough?

Not nearly enough, but it is a start.
Was talking to a buddy this afternoon who was in consultation with an group of snow Goose hunters.
There was already 4 guys and he asked if there was room for two more (total 6) and the field would support the number of hunters as would the flocks of geese .
All parties have permission for said field and the guys all regularly shoot with one or more of the groups.
Anyways, Group A only put out 50 or 60 decoys.
Group B placed over 300 and about a 1/4 mile away from group A.
Group B shot 45 Snowies in 90 minutes and the other group not so many.
Anyways, not saying to need 300, but work with what you have and work from here.
