Dedicated .22lr upper options?

With talk of a few NR AR15 compatible upper/lower receivers coming out that use proprietary upper and lower but all standard AR15 parts I'm thinking I want to build a dedicated .22lr upper.

What options are there in Canada for rim fire uppers?

Would I be better off piecing together a rim fire upper myself?

Can the AR15 rim fire rifles still use fully capacity mags or did they get reduced to 10 rounds too?

Thanks

I'm not sure on what's available in Canada now but I can pass on my experience. I started off with a Tactical Solutions 22 upper.
I never did get thru a full mag without some sort of problem. Tried different ammo etc. To no avail. The Tac Sol folks did their best, sent me practically all new inner workings over a period of months but no satisfaction. I sold it at a loss.
Next was a Chiappa upper. Talk about a dog with fleas! I couldn't hold zero and there were some feeding issues. I used a red dot and I was unable to zero it. After that frustration I put it aside to grab another rifle. When I put it in the rack the barrel came loose in the receiver. I found it was glued in place. That was the end of that.
Then I bit the bullet and got a CMMG upper from questar. It was the most expensive option at the time. Did I mention I was cheap? That's what my wife calls it but I prefer frugal. Right out of the box it was flawless. I've had it for about 4-5 years now and have had no problem whatsoever. I must have put 5000 rounds thru it with no sign of wear or problems although I don't use it much anymore.
No fault of the rifle but I get bored with what I have when I buy a new gun. It's about #7 now. It'll come around again.
Oh yeah, no limit on mag capacity.
Good shooting.

Thank you for sharing your experience, CMMG was one I'd been considering. I will look more into that offering.
