Just got back from a three-day trip to the north-east part of BC. Was hunting Whitetails and Muleys. Managed to score a nice 5x5 Whitetail, and a 3X3 muley. No trophy class animals, but nice freezer bucks. The Whitetail was caught off guard in a little ravine. Spotted the doe first, and then the buck stuck his head up from behind a little brushpile about 40 yards away. All I could see was his head and his neck down to the white "bib". so I put the crosshairs on the center of the "bib" and let him have it. Instant lights out, as the spine was severed at the back. (270 Winchester, 140 Accubond at 3020 fps)
The muley was shot in fading light just as he was sneaking into the woods from a field he had been feeding in. He was in 3½ foot high grass, so I had to kind of guess at where the vitals were on a broadside shot at 75 yards.(Still could see the silhouette of the animal in the grass) Guess was good, double lung shot and he only went about 30 yards before collapsing. (same rifle and load) Penetration of the Accubond has been complete on 5/6 animals I have taken with it. This year's season was good to us again. Freezers are full, and plenty of jerky and pepperoni to munch on.
Pictures to follow. Regards, Eagleye.

Congrats on the bucks, now we need pics :) My .270/140 Accubond handload works great for deer. Only recovered one bullet so far...
