I was wondering what the more experienced hunters do as the season progresses. Do you change up your tactics?? Are the deer really that spooked( wouldn't blame them) that a walk about would be unproductive??

I'm rural, so I hoof it to the hunting ground, I don't use a truck or anything. I've also noticed a lot less tracks than expected. When I went out on opening day, I had no snow to deal with, so I was much quieter than today, being the girlfriends pack mule!:D

Thoughts, tips, tricks welcomed.

If rifle is still open, like I think it is. The best trick is walk through the sloughs and see what runs out.
You should have someone watching the other side of where you walk in.

Do that a dozen times on a square mile, and you should have some kind of deer run out.:D

Best of luck to ya.....
