Deer Hunting with Shotgun

May be a dumb question... but i have always hunted with a rifle not a shotgun.

What is the magazine capacity for deer hunting with a shotgun. Is it the same as a center fire rifle (4 plus 1) or do i need to plug my shotgun to (3 plus one or 2 plus one) as if i were shooting migratory birds?

Anyone who KNOWS this, please teach my a lesson.

I am invited to a controlled deer hunt on Amherst island and will be using my Benelli M4.... dont want to break any rules.

Yep, shotgun is always plugged for two in the mag and 1 in the chamber for hunting in Ontario, regardless of species hunted (deer, ducks, etc.)

you can not hunt controlled hunt with a rifle. it i shotgun/muzzle loader only.
