deer in the rut!!!!!!

well the rut is almost hear on Vancover island and i was wondering if i could get any tips or hints on deer hunting gear...
and how to hut these horrny beasts.
i have already got one deer but but that was a few months ago and i would like to hunt by sitting instead of driveing around all day.

I'd look for a scrape line that has be frequented by a big buck and hang out there maybe make some of your own scrapes and hold tight till the bruiser comes a cruising in Id also rattle and grunt as Bartell mentioned.

Blacktails don't respond to that Whitetail trickery. Best bet is to find where the does are. If you spot a yearling buy itself watch out cause mommy and her new boyfriend are busy nearby. The bucks are probably near to where they've always been, it's just that they're more likely to push their luck by staying active longer in the daylight and out of cover.
