Deer processing in Kemptville Area?

Valley Butcher in Smiths Falls (A bit out of the way from Kemptville) but all in our gang are extremely impressed. Each piece of meat is wrapped, labelled indicating cut and weight... and you can rest assured you leave with the deer you brought to him.
Good luck hunting.....

Or anywhere else in Eastern Ontario for that matter. Got my first deer tag this year, and imagine myself having just got the thing gutted and loaded into the car and being like, "hey google, what do I do now?"

Anyone know any deer processors in the Kemptville/Merrickville area?

The one we went to has just recently sold his place and retired.

Not sure if he's still in business, might even be the gentleman you are referring to but there was a very good butcher (IIRC...) right at the last bend of Victoria Street north-west of Bishop's Mills.
Back fifteen years ago when the area was crazy full with deer the guy had deer carcasses stacked-up like cord wood in his garage, had to rent a reefer trailer for the overflow. Sadly these days, the number of deer -in our area at least- has dropped considerably.

Thanks wild, it is a bit out of the way but good to know!

If i remember that one burned down a few years ago, but i believe its the one that now does hats for hides again but no longer butchers. My dad told me how he use to have hides hanging from trees because he had so many. We went last year and he had a small stack of hides, maybe 2.5ft tall.

Sad to see the deer population go down so much in that area.
