Deer so close, happens a LOT

So Im sitting in my climber tonight, hear a big splash behind me...Thought it was other hunters because who makes that much noise, I turn and look and its two decent sized females (deer, lol) wading through a creek about 60 yards from me. Way too thick to take a shot (I hunt with a long bow) so I sat and watched them for about 45 minutes until it got too dark, This seems to happen a lot to me As Im coming out making oh so much noise I can still hear them in the creek!!

Tomorrow Im going to set up right on top of that little creek!!

Happened to me tonight as well, I was sitting in my tree when I heard a bunch of turkeys take the roost behind me. I couldn't resist after I heard the fifth one fly up, I had to turn my head. Sure enough a doe made me as soon as I did and she tore off through the creek and was gone before I new what had happened.
Oh well, tomorrow might be better, and hey its alot better than work!

not deer but... a number of years ago i was deer hunting on a small uninhabited island on the west coast. the group of owners had stocked it w/ a turkey population (no we couldnt shoot them lol ). well walking around in the afternoon i came across about a half dozen of them and they started following me around at abot 10 feet gobbling the whole time. well needless to say i had every deers attention, so it was back to camp for lunch for me.

Had deer swim through my decoys on a duck hunt more than once !
