What area do you apply in?
If its been a few years in a row and your in an area with a decent chance of getting a doe tag I know for a fact that a colorful call to the MNR will change your result.

Just got my antlerless today for WMU49. The bunch of us all did. This will be my first deer hunt, period!
Now have to decide what to take. My host says the bush is really thick and he prefers an old lever in 35. I will have to decide between my 18.5" M305 in 308 or my newly refurbished 8mm Mauser with alonger barrel. The latter balances nicer.

I got one again in WMU67 here in Ontario...plus an additional tag which I will save for muzzle-loader hunting. Our deer herd is way down compared to seven or eight years ago and the MNR still issues all these tags plus M/L hunt plus an extra week for rifle season. I have asked why. Good sources told me there was a conscious effort being made to downsize the herd drastically as a result of the car insurance lobby. Figure that! We pay taxes here...buy licences...and insurance companies run the MNR.
