what is a deer winter range, the area I will be hunting has a few I just want to make sure I'm still allowed to hunt there, just asking on here to be on the safe side.

Deer winter range is more of a geographic zone that provides cover and food for the animals during the winter months. Depending on where you are, there may be travel (ATV / snowmobile) restrictions to minimize disturbance.
Can not say I ever remember hearing of hunting restrictions related to it though. Usually hunting season is over before deer require it.
