Defender Co. ‘Longbow’ Upper handguard/Accessory Rail for T95/T97

Got to know this ‘carry handle modification’ a few months back through some Chinese military blog as it was being tested by PLA Air Force on their QBZ95-1 service rifles. It’s somewhat an innovation for the PLA to try adopting the picatinny system so did some research. I personally like the futuristic look of the ‘Longbow’ (or ‘长弓’), and through some connection I was able to talk to the designer/business owner of Defender co., and got one that would go on to my T97NSR, of course, emptying my own wallet (possibly the first few unit sold to non-Military/LE personnel). Haven’t get a chance to install it but I was amazed how light it is and how nice the finish and machining fells in my hands.

I wish I can upload all my chat messages with Mr. Wang (The Owner of Defender co.) here but I doubt few gunnutz could read Chinese so this thread is just to share some info and Military/LE media he disclosed. These units are currently only for Military/LE and they are going into soldiers/officers' hands as an upgrade kit with optics & IR LAD mounted, though when I asked if it would be available to commercial market without attachments, his answer was yes and very soon.
This is not a review of the 'Longbow'.(I want to emphasize that I’m not here to sell stuff, though I might gain some dirty profit if I let them know that I advertised their product on CGN;))

Some of the features according to Defender co.
-CNC Machined from 6063 aluminum alloy
-M-LOK compatible forend
-5’ MIL-STD-1913 for optics mounting
-Install in <30 sec, no modification needed
-Secures into the front and rear sight post with no zero shift for mounted optic under recoil (tested on 5.8*42 T95-1 service rifle)
-<240 gram
-Type III hard anodized
-Original iron sight will work with the unit installed
-Lowered line of sight with optics, co-witness possible with low-mounted red dots

Pics and Vids I've collected (some from Military/LE users shared through Defender co., others from military news reports..)

You are looking at 8000+CNY for a complete unit as a official price to law enforcement users, I'm sure the rail will be much more affordable. And because of some political reasons I was told that the civilians & oversea customers will pay much less.

it was designed to meet the PLA test standards, it has to be interchangeable with the factory carry handle and no modification to barrel assembly while optics can mount lowest as possible. It is impossible to get a low and stable cheek weld aiming down sight without removing the rear sight or the original integrated scope bridge imho
