I have been looking at actions lately.
Love the looks of this one!

308 bolt face. For either a 260 or 6.5 or even a 308.

Never ventured into aftermarket actions before.
700 parts? Trigger, stock?

I want to build a switch barrel or a Remage style.

School me.

I don't have a Tenacity but I do have a Rebel. Extremely well built, very tight tolerances and endless configuration options. I was able to pick my tenon length, tang, bolt diameter, bolt head, bolt fluting, bolt handle, right bolt, left port, port size, ejector style, specify feeding ramps to employ double stack 10 round AI AW magazines, metal finish, and rail.

I wouldn't hesitate to get another Defiance action of any sort again. I don't think you would find anything bad to say about it when you have it in hand.

I have a Defiance Deviant Elite and it's a phenomenal action (integrated recoil lug and scope rail). I also have an ARC Nucleus (keyed recoil lug and bolted on scope rail) and 2x Rem 700s (with pinned recoil lugs). I swap barrels on all my actions routinely and there is no practical difference between having an integral lug or a keyed lug or a pinned lug.
 
I have a tenacity as well as a deviant elite. The tenacity is a nice action and as a conventional two lug action, it will plug and play with Remington 700 triggers, stocks, DBM, chassis etc better than some of the newer 3 lug actions.

I switch barrels and as long as you lube and clean everything and are not ham-fisted about it you won’t have any issues.

The gen2 with integral lug is a better choice though because prefits are available.
 
Also look into impact. My favourite one for how it feels when you work the bolt. I have an impact and bighorn and tried a defiance of some sort.

I was shopping for a Defiance Tenacity or a Ruckus. I was told it was at least a 4 month wait from order date.
The Tenacity is a pretty good price with the integral lug now.

I decided to go with an Impact 737R also.
