Deformed X bullets

Loaded some 200gr X bullets today for my Ruger 77/44.
All the noses were pushed in & compressed a bit but they all cycle through the rifle.Started to read a bit& found out you might need a different nose punch if useing a compressed load.Live & learn.DAN>>>

Hi Dan.....I've run into a few of those deals....might cycle and shoot OK, but my concern is concentricity of the round, as well as the deformation, of course, and how it might affect bullet performance.
Have had to use a drill bit, or dremel attachment to deepen the seater plug a couple times. Or get another one. I know RCBS will make custom plugs if you send them 3 bullets.
