I want it. prohib. I bet. Whats cool is M-14s are selective fire, so rather than doing a double tab, you could just fire 3 off at once. Neat find, glad you brought it in.
 
I have the israeli military contract Leatherwood 3x9 ART rifle scopes on my M14 rifles. These scopes were made with aluminum scope mounts instead of the steel ones that the US military used.

you're slightly misinformed- the WHOLE MAG goes off at once unless you let go of the trigger with the selector switch in the a position- it's the stock and NIMROD scope that makes this gun unique- in the early- late 80's isreal surplussed a whole herd of m14s both as parts kits to the us and whole rifles to canada , but the roller bearing that mates the receiver to the trigger group in f/a mode was ground off and the selector was welded shut, making them converted auto's - a bunch of guys on here have had/currently have them, but they're all safe queens- actually the m14 in f/a mode was a disaster due to overheating and barrel climb
 
Billybob, how do find that scope.
I have the same 6 X 40 and the single point IDF mount.

I have yet to mount it though, as every time I am about to do so, I end up lending the Polytech to someone, for a service rifle shoot.

By the way, nice set-up!
 
Hm, the high cheekpiece & stock, looks real enough, looks like early IDF issue to my eyes.

From what I have gleened off the net, 'experts' in the USA with more knowledge than myself, say this Polytech barreled reciever, is the closest detailed copy of the US issue M-14, w/o select fire of course.
