What's the general thoughts on these

I'm going to do one up for a hog, deer and coyote gun

I'm definitally going to be running hard cast bullet reloads almost exclusively
Anybody have experience with casts in these for hunting

And whats the value on one of these if it's beautifully restored and is in great mechanical shape

Thanks and merry Christmas

They look nice especially with that double trigger. I believe most are in 6.5x54 MS and the original caliber was 6.5x52 Carcano (I may be wrong). It is a really fun round to shoot. The only issue is the groove of the Cooey is usually around 268 dia so it is odd and jacket bullets are getting harder to find. Some shoot .264 dia ok others not. Mine shot .266 cast ok but I bought a custom LEE 270 push thru sizer and I push 277 dia cast thru it. I get great accuracy with my Carcano (slugged at .268) and can actually afford to shoot it.

Cant comment on value nor have I hunted with them - sorry. Have fun and report back of your success. Good luck.

Merry Xmas to you too,

Well I'm going to do one up and I've located one and as soon as it arrives I'm going to begin the refinishing and customizing process, I'm going to be the market for some dies after I slug the barrel so I'm curious to see what it slugs.

Anybody else with info would be greatly appreciated
