I wonder if long arms are allowed in IPSC - black rifles? shotguns? If yes, could anybody provide rules and regulations by division? Or at least where I could get the information regarding the subject?

Thank you in advance.:)

I certainly hope so................

We are hosting an IPSC Shotgun match on April 30th and May 1st and then IPSC Rifle on May 14/15!!

LOL

go to www.ipsc.org where you can download the rule books.

If you are in SW Ontario feel to drop in to take a look. But fair warning..........idle hands make great patchers!!

As far as rifle, shotgun and three gun go, you will find comprehensive rules at the ipsc.org site. These cover rifle, shotgun and grand tournament rules for a 3 gun competition.

if by Alpha Bravo you mean Alberta, we are talking about holding our first sanction 3 gun match this year. however Wild West Action shooters in Spruce Grove holds a non sanction 3 gun match regularly. as well both Lethbridge and Medicine Hat hold outlaw three gun matches.

Yes, I am in Alberta. I checked WRAS website and they will hold Steel challenge this Sunday on the Spruce Grove Gun Club grounds. I will try to make it there to watch and mingle.

To add: I just checked you out... you are far far south, Walter... :(

I hope to try the 3 gun match in Prince Albert, May 30th. I'm not sure if it's run with IPSC rules, but it should be close.

I noticed that nearly every rifle and shotgun in those photos is bereft of a sling. Is that a safety rule? I had better RTFM before I attend one of these matches. The long gun stuff wasn't covered in my black badge course.
